August 5th: Guess who?

Written 8/5/11: 6 weeks pregnant

Dear Baby,
Guess who showed up as I was cleaning the nasty toothpaste spit off the bathroom sink (seriously, Andy, that’s gross!) this morning? My old pal, Mr. Morning Sickness! I haven’t had the pleasure of his company since around February, 2010, when I was pregnant with your big sis. I had forgotten just how much I love dry-heaving until there are tears streaming down my face.
I know this sounds sarcastic, but I actually do love it. I’ll gladly take any outward sign that there’s actually something going on inside of me. Any type of ‘proof’ that you exist.
So I am officially 6 weeks pregnant today. According to some pregnancy website, you look sort of like a mix between an alien and a seahorse (sorry, Baby, but it’s true!) and you “have grown to ⅛ inch long—about the size of one of the chocolate sprinkles on your last cupcake.”
Okay now I really want a cupcake. With lots of frosting. And extra sprinkles.
I love you Baby. Please please please keep growing and making Mama sick. See you on Tuesday!
Love,
Mom

I remember being SO happy every time I dry-heaved. Every time I puked, every time I was so nauseated. I felt like those feelings reminded me that Baby was ok. *Hugs*
